Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) members to stick to innovation, openness, green development, as well as inclusiveness and mutual benefits in promoting regional development.

On Thursday Nov 17th, San Francisco local time, Xi made the remarks in his speech delivered at the APEC Economic Leaders' Retreat.

Xi said China remains committed to peaceful development, and the fundamental purpose of development is to enable the Chinese people to live a good life, not to replace anyone.

Xi called for joint efforts to promote Asia-Pacific cooperation to achieve more fruitful results and to build another golden 30 years of Asia-Pacific cooperation.
